Internship Success and Event Planning

During my internship with the American Heart Association serving as the Intern of Development and Community Impact, I had the opportunity to contribute to the planning and execution of the 43rd Annual Beach Ride event. This signature fundraiser brought together participants and supporters to raise nearly $500,000 in support of the organization’s life-saving mission. I played a key role in securing donors and auction items by reaching out to local businesses and individuals, building relationships to ensure the event’s success. Additionally, I coordinated various aspects of the event, including managing the band and other entertainment, to create a memorable experience for attendees. This hands-on experience enhanced my skills in event planning, donor engagement, and nonprofit fundraising while reinforcing my commitment to making a positive impact.

This video created by the American Heart Association provided a summary of the success of the Beach Ride Event.

This project is a presentation I presented at a Senior Living Community to increase Stroke Awareness and promote prevention techniques.
